Minor in East Asian Languages and
Literatures (Chinese track) . . .

This minor is available for students who take 19 credit hours distributed as follows:
• CHI 2203 and CHI 2204: Intermediate Chinese 1 and 2 (10 hours)
• Any three courses at the 3000 level or above with the following course prefixes: CHI, CHT, CHW, JPN, JPT, JPW, and FOL (9 hours)
• Students minoring in Chinese who are qualified to enter Advanced Chinese (6 hours) may complete this sequence in place of Intermediate Chinese. In this case, the minimum credit hours required for the major is 15. These students should contact the Chinese undergraduate advisor, Dr. Carlos Rojas, to arrange proficiency testing before enrolling in Advanced Chinese.

• JPN 2200 and JPN 2201: Intermediate Japanese 1 and 2 (10 hours)
• Any three courses at the 3000 level or above with the following course prefixes: CHI, CHT, CHW, JPN, JPT, JPW, and FOL (9 hours)
